How to migrate an existing site to WordPress?
Migrating a site to WordPress involves transferring content, media, and URLs to a new installation, without service interruption or loss of SEO. The migration takes place in four stages: inventory of existing URLs, content transfer, implementation of the redirection plan, and then testing before switching the domain name.
We conduct this migration from the most common CMS and builders: Drupal, Joomla, PrestaShop, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, Jimdo, or custom-developed sites. Content is transferred into the native WordPress editor rather than a proprietary page builder, which avoids rebuilding technical debt on the day of the migration.
The work is carried out in a pre-production environment, invisible to search engines and your visitors. The switch to production only occurs once testing is validated, including redirects: your current site remains online and intact until the last minute.

We can redesign a WordPress site that has a WooCommerce or any other e-commerce solution integrated. The cost will generally be higher than for a Corporate or Media site redesign, as specific work will be necessary on the product category pages and product description pages.
The price of a redesign depends on four variables, which we price on a project-by-project basis: the number of templates to design, the volume of content to migrate, the presence or absence of an online store, and whether we start from an existing design or create a new one. As each redesign is unique, the service is subject to a personalized quote.

No, provided that a redirection plan is established before going live. A redesign only causes a loss of SEO when old URLs disappear without being redirected: search engines then lose the history of each page. With a comprehensive 301 redirection plan, acquired positions are transferred to the new addresses.
We systematically proceed in three steps: an exhaustive inventory of existing URLs before work begins, a mapping table from old to new addresses, and then checks after going live of redirections, the sitemap, and response codes. Traffic drops observed after a redesign are almost always due to the absence of this step.
A well-executed redesign actually improves SEO: a clean technical foundation, mastered Core Web Vitals, a revised semantic structure, and reduced server response times are all positive signals for Google.
A redesign is justified when the site can no longer be salvaged by fixes. Five signals regularly appear: persistently poor Core Web Vitals, a theme or plugins that are no longer maintained, a back-office that has become unmanageable for your teams, a graphic charter that is out of sync with your positioning, or a site that does not comply with accessibility rules.
The decisive criterion is economic: when the cost of successive fixes exceeds that of a new foundation, redesign becomes the rational option. If the site is healthy but slow, performance optimization is generally sufficient, for a much lighter intervention.
Allow 1 to 6 months depending on the size and complexity of the site. A showcase site of about ten pages, with an approved design and ready content, can be redesigned in a few weeks. A high-volume site, with catalog migration, multilingual content, or custom features, will take longer within this range.
