Creating a high-performance Bootstrap template
About OOsteo
OOsteo is a major player in online osteopathy, which we supported on several fronts: optimizing their main portal and modernizing their network of practitioner websites. This specific project focuses on creating a web template dedicated to osteopaths, deployed on their own domain names.

The objective was to technically modernize the self-hosted website offering made available to practitioners. While keeping the core and administration of their in-house micro-CMS, we had to ensure an upgrade to PHP 8.5 and recreate a brand new theme focused on best practices, quality, and ultra-performance.
Goals and key features
The new, almost one-page template had to reassure patients upon arrival with clear, data-driven information. We integrated a readable and modern pricing grid, as well as a complete location section with Google Map and contact details. A blog section, the only section outside the one-page structure, was also developed to support each practitioner's local SEO strategy.
Challenges and Constraints
One of the major technical challenges lay in large-scale customization. We had to design a system offering an infinite range of colors and logos. Thanks to advanced use of CSS variables, osteopaths can now, with a single click from their interface, change their visual identity, which is instantly applied everywhere, including purely decorative elements.
Project Stages
Technical overhaul and architecture
We first updated the technical foundation to support PHP 8.5, while preserving the back-office of the existing micro-CMS. The front-end was completely redesigned using the Bootstrap framework and an architecture based on a strict component logic, ensuring clean and easily maintainable code.
Interface design and customization
The interface was structured to maximize conversion (appointment booking) and patient reassurance. The CSS variables system was integrated into the core of the development to offer total flexibility to end clients, allowing them to adopt the template's design without any prior technical skills.
Deployment and migration
Once tested and validated, this new template was deployed as the base foundation for all new OOsteo clients. In parallel, we implemented a process for the progressive migration of all existing sites to this new technological stack, thereby modernizing the entire installed base.
Centralized high-performance hosting
Following the success of the redesign, we were asked to centralize the hosting of all these sites, which were previously spread across various shared hosting platforms (notably with Ionos). We configured a powerful VPS server under Plesk, capable of hosting up to 300 sites with strict guarantees of security, performance, and daily backups. The progressive migration to this uncompromising environment has dramatically boosted overall network performance.

These results have refreshed the aesthetic of the practitioner sites while significantly improving the User Experience. New sites continue to be created regularly on this technical foundation, with consistently positive feedback.
